Schwarzer Withdraws Transfer Request
The Football Federation Australia web site has just released this news article.
It looks like Aussie keeper Mark Schwarzer - after talking with his manager at Middleborough - has decided to withdraw his transfer request.
I was hoping we could see a move into the higher echelons of the English Premier League, but never the less, we are seeing a positive move by Middleborough to keep who I consider one of the best goal keepers in the world within their ranks.
This is a good move for Mark also, as it could have interfered with his preparation for the World Cup. Every Australian I know wants Mark's mind on the job, so we can see Australia upset a few of the World Cup regulars.
